ABOUT THE JOB The Senior Accountant is a team player who is comfortable working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and desires to develop professionally as the team and the company grow. The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the company's close process, financial reporting, compliance and maintaining strong internal controls. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist with the month-end financial statement close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Own key areas of the close process, including month-end accruals, fixed assets, cash and other areas of accounting as assigned.
- Assist with preparing schedules for and responding to requests of the external auditors.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to expedite close and strengthen internal controls.
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
- Proficiency with general ledger software (ideally NetSuite, Oracle)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where urgency, accountability, and follow-through are critical
- Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to manage timelines and deliverables effectively
- Excellent collaboration and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
