About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Physician Practice Administration to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of physician practice administrative functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that physician practice strategy, operations, and administrative functions align with organizational priorities, financial stewardship, regulatory requirements, and standards for patient safety, quality, and operational excellence. This role involves leading the development and execution of strategic and operational plans for physician and advanced practice provider services, as well as partnering with physician leadership to support the implementation of clinical policies and evidence-based practices. The AVP will also be involved in executive-level communication, stakeholder engagement, and will serve as the primary administrative liaison between the medical staff, physician leadership, and executive leadership. Applicants for the Associate Vice President position must have a Master’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in physician practice administration within an academic medical center, hospital, or complex healthcare system. The role requires advanced analytical and data interpretation capabilities, proficiency in performance analytics tools, and a strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, physician practice operations, and ambulatory practice management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading operational improvement initiatives and physician practice transformation efforts, as well as experience in partnering with physician leadership on compensation strategy, provider productivity, and workforce planning. Executive-level communication, influencing skills, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders are essential for this position.
