IT Field Support / Deployment Technician

Experience- 3+ Years
Work Location - United States – Multi-site / Showroom Deployments
Work Mode- On-site / Field-based
Travel - High Travel – Multi-state US deployments

Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on IT Field Support / Deployment Technician to support technology deployments across locations throughout the United States. The role will be responsible for physically installing and configuring Apple Mac mini devices, displays, network and endpoint peripherals, establishing connectivity, troubleshooting onsite issues, validating the complete environment, and ensuring each showroom is operational before handoff. This is a practical field-support role focused on onsite deployment and stabilization rather than network architecture or systems engineering.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Remove and disconnect existing showroom PCs and related equipment.
• Install and physically configure pre-provisioned Apple Mac mini devices.
• Connect Mac minis to existing wired and/or wireless showroom networks.
• Connect and configure large-format displays and showroom screens, including validation of video output and resolution.
• Install and configure peripherals including network printers, Bluetooth devices, keyboards, mice, USB devices, and other connected accessories.
• Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, cabling, display, and device-connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with centralized IT and network teams when infrastructure changes or escalations are required.
• Test the complete showroom installation before handoff and document equipment, connectivity, issues, and open actions.
• Provide basic onsite technical support during the initial rollout and stabilization period.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT field support, network technician, desktop deployment, or infrastructure support.
• Strong practical knowledge of Ethernet, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN connectivity, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting Apple Mac/macOS hardware.
• Experience with display connectivity, including HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C.
• Experience configuring network printers, Bluetooth devices, USB peripherals, and common endpoint accessories.
• Ability to isolate hardware, cabling, network, configuration, and upstream infrastructure issues.
• Ability to independently execute onsite installations using documented procedures.
• Strong communication, documentation, customer-facing, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in retail, showroom, hospitality, branch-office, or multi-site IT deployments.
• Apple/Mac deployment and support experience.
• Experience with large-format commercial displays or digital signage.
• Familiarity with managed corporate Wi-Fi and segmented/VLAN-based network environments.
• Experience supporting multi-location technology rollouts.
• CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Apple Device Support, or similar certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.

Travel & Work Requirements:

• High-travel, US-based role supporting showroom deployments across multiple states.
• Comfortable with multi-day onsite deployments and regular air travel.
• Ability to transport basic installation tools and equipment.
• Availability for occasional early-morning, evening, or off-hours installation work based on showroom operating schedules.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a practical, hands-on IT technician who can arrive at a showroom, understand the deployment plan, install and configure equipment, establish connectivity, troubleshoot issues, validate the environment, document the work, and leave the location operational without continuous supervision. The candidate should be comfortable working independently in customer-facing environments and coordinating with centralized IT/network teams when escalation is required.
