Job Responsibilities Equipment Management: Oversee the inspection, operation, maintenance, and calibration of respiratory equipment, including oxygen gear, CPAP, ventilators, high‑flow systems, and other life support systems. Technology Assistance: Utilize both invasive and noninvasive technologies to support the treatment of cardiopulmonary disorders. Patient Assessment and Medication Administration: Conduct thorough patient assessments and administer medications through nebulizers. Weaning Protocols: Follow MD‑prescribed weaning protocols diligently. Emergency Response: Demonstrate expertise in administering advanced CPR and providing mechanical ventilation for adults. Qualifications Education: Possess a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care. Experience: Preferred experience in respiratory care. Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of respiratory care equipment, including applications, limitations, troubleshooting, and alternative courses of action; broad understanding of cardiopulmonary and respiratory care treatment. Licensure Requirements: Current valid NYS license or certificate as a Respiratory Therapist; active registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); mandatory BLS certification.
