Job Title: Account Manager Department: Commercial Lines Location: West Division Job Summary Account Managers perform routine responsibilities and serve as primary points of contact for clients, applying insurance principles to everyday situations while developing coverage strategies as needed. Responsibilities Service accounts, including quote and issue policies, ID cards, proposal endorsements, certificates, claims, renewals, follow‑up, and correspondence. Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail, and company request needs in a timely manner. Conduct insurance marketing and sales activities. Collect renewal data on assigned accounts and support claims processes. Develop coverage strategies and plans as necessary. Review new or renewal policies and endorsements to ensure items were received as ordered. Maintain accuracy of client data and document all activities in the agency management system (Applied Systems / EPIC). Utilize upload, download, and interface technology effectively. Assist other departments in securing information needed to issue appropriate policies. Keep producers informed of all important activities on their accounts, being sensitive to potential problems and informing management. Stay current with industry trends by attending educational seminars and classes for improvement of insurance/sales skills and license compliance. Maintain knowledge of current underwriting requirements of contracted insurance carriers and policy provisions. Complete other functions and assignments assigned, including backup duties. Requirements and Qualifications Active Property & Casualty License required. High school diploma required; minimum 2 years of experience in commercial lines. Education, CPCU or special training course completion is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to discern priority and initiative. Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong people skills. Mathematical skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, premiums, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Reasoning skills: ability to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instructions and deal with a variety of variables furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Applied Systems / EPIC experience is a plus. Know and apply principles of insurance to everyday situations. Pay Details The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity. Candidates are expected to have an on‑site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross‑functional partnership.
