Basic Job Functions:

• Welding steel structural parts as specified per drawing or print.
• Operating grinder to prepare and finish welds.
• Operating magnetic drill.
• Full visual inspection of part ensuring all welds are in place and properly applied.
• Effectively communicating with upstream and downstream to address safety, quality and efficiency issues/concerns.

• ​​​​​​Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:
• WQ1 (2G) weld certification
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:
• Can read and understand weld symbols
• Can use an arc gouger
• Previous crane certification
