CST members have access to a diverse experience that combines fun, skill-building, community, and personal development. Our programs grow and evolve based on the needs and interests of our local youth and provide a safe outlet for them to explore their talents. One of our main goals is to teach children that their struggles and obstacles don’t determine their lives; they can always overcome adversity with help and hard work. Our members leave CST with leadership and social skills, academic improvement, and a built-in community they can rely on. Our main focus is to offer our youth the life skills that will positively shape their futures. The future of CST is bright. Our initial goal was to impact the world starting with our community; we’re now well on our way. We hope to eventually have youth centers worldwide, offering greater academic support, activities, and events catered to their specific communities, and a chance to add value to the lives of youth everywhere. Organization Children Striving Together Location Remote Website Time Commitment 7-15 hrs per week for 6 month committment, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement About Us Children Striving Together is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mentorship, resources, and positive outlets for youth in underserved communities. Our mission is to create safe spaces that foster growth, creativity, and support, enabling every child to thrive. Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic volunteer to assist with Marketing & Social Media efforts to promote and expand our mission. This role can be supported by more than one individual, as we are looking for various levels of contribution. The ideal candidate will help develop our online presence, assist in campaign management, and communicate our mission effectively to internal and external audiences. Key Responsibilities Website & Social Media Management: Develop and manage the organization’s website and social media pages, ensuring consistent and engaging content that aligns with our mission. Campaign Management: Conduct email and print campaigns targeted at our donor base and support network, ensuring effective outreach and communication. CRM Use: Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) platforms to engage and maintain connections with stakeholders. Communication: Effectively communicate our mission and initiatives both internally and externally to raise awareness and build support. Public Relations: Collaborate with media outlets and the public to ensure broad visibility of our programs and initiatives. Marketing Materials: Design and create marketing materials that reflect the mission and goals of Children Striving Together. Qualifications Experience: Proven experience in marketing and social media management, preferably in a nonprofit setting. Creative Skills: Strong design skills, especially in creating marketing materials and engaging digital content. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
