- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping by accurately recording financial transactions.
- Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts under the supervision of managers or seniors.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Support payroll processing and related administrative tasks.
- Prepare sales tax, property tax, and other compliance-related filings as assigned.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
- Learn and utilize cloud-based accounting software and other technology tools to improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by providing timely and professional service.
- Assist with other accounting, bookkeeping, and consulting projects as assigned.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or other accounting software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new concepts quickly.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- CPA eligibility or progress toward obtaining a CPA is a plus.
- Japanese language skills are required.
