Job Description THE POSITION: The Accountant I is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting transactions and reconciliations, including posting entries to the general ledger, analyzing data, and month‑end close processes. The role collaborates with employees throughout the organization, works with third‑party auditors to ensure compliance, and supports accounting functions within our Agency business and broader EVERSANA accounting functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Meet established month‑end close deadlines for preparing assigned journal entries. Work with various business units to prepare and post monthly journal entries. Assist in accounting for cash, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other key balance sheet and income statement accounts. Support invoicing tasks for our advertising agency and other business units, including preparing and reviewing billing templates, reconciling pass‑through expenses, and compiling information for the invoicing process. Lead the resolution of issues on assigned accounts and reconciliations to ensure proper and accurate reporting. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare monthly fixed asset reports and journal entries. Prepare audit schedules and work directly with external auditors on related items. Recommend and implement improvements to accounting controls, procedures and policies. Communicate with all levels within the organization. Serve as backup to other roles within the Finance department as needed. EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB: Travel – 0‑5% – minimal travel expected. Hours – 40+, typically Monday‑Friday. Qualifications MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (must be complete at time of hire). Experience and/or Training: 0‑2 years of experience in an accounting role. Experience with bank and other account reconciliations. Previous experience working remotely. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Technology/Equipment: Experience in the use of complex spreadsheets and accounting systems. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience and/or Training: Public Accounting experience a plus. Licenses/Certificates: CPA or CPA track preferred. Technology/Equipment: Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office: The employee frequently reaches, grasps, stands, and/or sits for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walks, talks, and hears. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.
