You will engage in outpatient therapies backed by the occasional inpatient services, tailoring your expertise to a diverse array of communication needs, whether in pediatric speech advancement, adult neurological rehabilitation, or geriatric speech therapy.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for children, adults, and seniors utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
Create customized treatment plans targeting immediate therapy objectives and long-term communication or swallowing challenges.
Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions concentrating on speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation.
Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to develop unified care plans.
Educate patients and families to enhance therapeutic progress outside of therapy sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions to ensure consistent treatment throughout the patient's recovery path.
Keep precise and timely documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Engage in ongoing learning opportunities to stay at the forefront of speech-language pathology advancements.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
BLS certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all ages, with an emphasis on understanding both developmental and acquired communication disorders.
Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary team members.
Ability to modify therapy techniques for cultural and linguistic diversity.
Strong judgment and analytical skills to troubleshoot clinical challenges.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
