Rare Talent is partnering with a highly regarded Los Angeles law firm seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with 3–5 years of accounts receivable, cash applications, or related accounting experience . Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is strongly preferred .

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and accurately apply client payments, including checks, ACH, wires, credit cards, and electronic payments
• Maintain accurate client account records and ensure payments are properly applied
• Manage daily cash receipts and assist with deposit processing
• Research and resolve unidentified or unapplied payments, discrepancies, and NSF transactions
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Collaborate with Accounting, Billing, and Collections teams to resolve payment and account issues
• Monitor accounts receivable and support efforts to improve collections and cash flow
• Respond professionally to inquiries regarding payment status, discrepancies, refunds, and other AR matters
• Handle confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion
• Assist with additional accounting and finance projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of accounts receivable, cash applications, or related accounting experience
• ** Law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred **
• Experience with client billing and collections is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation:

$68,640–$85,010 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
