Quick Facts Location: Lafayette, LA Start Date: 03/04/2026 (pending approval) Duration: Ongoing / As needed Shift: Full-time, primarily inpatient rounding and surgical consults, clinic 1 day/week Hours/Week: 40+ hours/week Employment Type: Locum / Temporary License/Certs: Valid LA state license, relevant certifications (NP or PA) Experience: Prior experience in cardiovascular surgery preferred but not required Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (note: pay rate is placeholder; actual pay discussed upon application) Benefits: Competitive hourly pay Flexible scheduling options Supportive team environment Professional growth opportunities What You’ll Do Conduct inpatient rounds in the cardiovascular surgery unit Provide surgical consults and assist in postoperative management Participate in emergency room call coverage as needed Collaborate with a team of surgeons and other advanced practice providers Assist in procedures including CABG, VATS, lobectomies, AAA repairs, arterial bypasses, and aortic valve replacements Contribute to maintaining high-quality patient care standards in a busy surgical setting What You Need Active Louisiana license as an NP or PA Relevant clinical experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery (preferred) Strong communication and team collaboration skills Ability to manage a high volume of procedures and patient cases About the Assignment Join a dynamic team at a leading facility specialized in cardiovascular surgery in Lafayette, LA.
