Federal Staff Reporting Analyst [Remote]

Help improve next-generation AI systems by applying federal and military staff-reporting expertise to realistic documentation, evaluations, and training materials. This remote contractor role centers on producing clear, compliant reporting artifacts that reflect real-world federal standards. Prior AI experience is not required. Key Responsibilities

• Create, review, and refine Weekly Action Reports, Situation Reports, after-action summaries, executive briefings, and other federal reporting artifacts from provided prompts and documentation.
• Write high-quality responses and summaries that reflect federal and military reporting styles and standards.
• Evaluate and grade sample submissions against detailed guidelines for clarity, accuracy, compliance, and adherence to reporting conventions.
• Develop input artifacts and reference responses for status, activity, and compliance reports used across federal agencies and military branches.
• Help develop guidelines, assessment criteria, and grading rubrics for AI training in federal report generation and staff writing.
• Advise on task design and requirements using specialized reporting experience, and participate in feedback cycles to keep deliverables aligned with evolving project and client standards.

• At least 3 years of federal reporting or staff-writing experience as a U.S. Department of Defense or federal professional.
• Experience producing templated reports, including WARs, MARs, SITREPs, after-action reports, executive summaries, and similar documents.
• Experience with one or more U.S. military branches; varied experience across branches and positions is valued.
• Knowledge of military writing, federal documentation standards, report generation and evaluation, rubric development, Department of Defense procedures, and compliance best practices.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with close attention to clarity, tone, and federal style-guide compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for official reports, memoranda, and presentations.
• Ability to explain reporting methodology and provide feedback for training and assessment.
• A demonstrated record of handling confidential reports compliantly in a federal or military setting.

• Independent contractor engagement.
• Remote, available only to candidates based in the United States.
• Collaborative remote work supporting federal reporting and AI training activities.

$40 to $80 per hour.
