Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Field Patrol in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, monitoring access activity, and supporting appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including production areas, exterior perimeters, parking areas, and loading or receiving zones, to help identify unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor, vendor, and/or contractor access as directed by site policies, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
- Support security-related operations at an industrial location by reporting maintenance concerns, checking gates and doors, and observing equipment, materials, and high-traffic areas for irregular activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
