The Financial Reporting and Consolidation Manager is responsible for overseeing consolidated financial reporting, supporting technical accounting matters, coordinating the month-end close process, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial information across the organization's multiple legal entities and joint ventures. This role serves as a key member of the accounting team by partnering with the Controller, Assistant Controllers, and accounting staff to maintain strong financial reporting processes, improve efficiency, standardize procedures, and support the continued growth and complexity of the organization.

Competency

• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statement preparation, consolidations, and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of construction accounting, including job costing, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition concepts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial systems proficiency.
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to improve processes and reporting efficiency.
• Professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.

Supervisory Responsibility

May provide day-to-day guidance, training, and review of work performed by Senior Staff Accountants and Staff Accountants. Direct supervisory responsibility may vary based on organizational structure and business needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting environments and consolidated financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience coordinating audits and preparing audit support schedules.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.

Preferred Education and Experience

• CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
• Experience in construction, materials, heavy civil, or related industries.
• Experience with work-in-progress accounting, job costing, and contract accounting.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista, Spectrum, or similar ERP systems.
• Experience with process improvements, reporting automation, or accounting system enhancements.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and other office technology.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee is regularly required to communicate, remain in a stationary position, and operate office equipment. Occasional movement of materials weighing up to 25 pounds may be required.

Compensation:

Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance with a company-funded retirement plan. Salary Range $105,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
