Title: Adjunct Faculty-Cosmetology Contract Term Length: Not Applicable Standard Hours: Varies Work Location: On-Site FLSA Status: Non-Exempt College: Somerset Community College Campus Location: Somerset Community College Department: Cosmetology Job Summary These are temporary, part-time positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed. When a position is available, qualified applicants may be contacted for an interview and asked to submit further documentation. In addition to submitting an online application, please upload the following in a PDF format: resume or curriculum vitae and copies of any teaching certifications held. Job Duties Abide by all KY Board of Cosmetology rules and regulations Provide practical and client laboratory instruction and supervision for Cosmetology students Maintain record keeping for student hours as indicated by the KY Board of Cosmetology Responsible for instruction in cosmetology courses. Applicants must have knowledge of multiple teaching methods, and education principles, practices, and methodologies for all facets of cosmetology training Must have the ability to demonstrate hair, makeup, nails and/or skin care services and walk students through the procedures step-by-step Minimum Qualifications A current KY Cosmetology License A current KY Cosmetology Instructor License Preferred Qualifications A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cosmetologist in the industry Associates degree Additional Skills Requested #J-18808-Ljbffr Kentucky Community and Technical College System
