Chief Executive Officer

Our client is a $100M family-owned manufacturer, importer, and distributor of home décor and seasonal products serving wholesale, grocery, mass retail, and home-and-garden customers nationwide. They operate more than one million square feet of manufacturing and warehousing in Indiana. The CEO will be charged with strengthening capabilities and profitability, scaling the business, and creating significant enterprise value over the next three to seven years. The mandate is to accelerate growth while preserving the company’s culture and positioning shareholders for a range of long‑term ownership options.

Priorities

• Channel growth. Expand the grocery/retail channel, evolving from transactional SKU supplier to strategic program partner.
• Advance direct-to-retail. Build direct retail relationships where appropriate to capture margin and reduce import exposure while protecting important wholesale partnerships.
• Improve profitability and execution. Drive operational efficiency, margin expansion, fill rates, and on‑time delivery across manufacturing and distribution.
• Build an accountable organization. Develop the existing leadership team, recruit selectively to address gaps, and establish clear goals, metrics, and accountability.
• Modernize the operating platform. Strengthen decision‑making and selectively deploy technology and AI where it can improve productivity and performance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience,
• Full P&L and balance‑sheet ownership as CEO, President, or General Manager of a comparably scaled business (~$50-$200 million).
• Experience transforming or scaling a manufacturing or distribution business in a changing or consolidating market.
• Meaningful exposure to retail distribution channels, ideally including grocery and mass retail
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Strong leadership, decision making and communication skills
