Email Marketing Specialist (Monday-Thursday on-site with Friday remote in Houston, TX) (BH-110576) Location Houston, United States Sector Energy & Renewables Salary $46.76 per hour Job Title: Email Marketing Specialist Duration: 06 months Location: 910 Louisiana Street Houston Texas 77002 Required Pay Scale: $46.76/hr Schedule: M-T onsite, Friday remote ***Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates*** Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Email Marketing Specialist to support our email marketing efforts across Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Marketo. Both platforms are used across our full brand portfolio, so the ideal candidate is comfortable working across two ecosystems day to day — coding, testing, scheduling, and reporting on email campaigns that align with our broader marketing strategy. Key Responsibilities: Email Development Code responsive HTML/CSS emails from Figma, Adobe XD, or PSD designs Ensure cross-client and cross-device compatibility (Outlook, Gmail, iOS, Android) Use AMPscript (SFMC) or tokens and Velocity scripting (Marketo) for personalization and dynamic content Troubleshoot rendering issues across email clients, including VML/bulletproof button fixes and dark mode support Campaign Execution Build and test email campaigns in both Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketo, as both platforms are used across our brands Set up segmentation, automation workflows, and triggers (Journey Builder / Smart Campaigns) Manage email QA and stakeholder approvals before scheduling and deployment Data & Personalization Work with marketing teams to use audience data for dynamic content and personalization Sync and manage lead/contact data across CRM and marketing automation platforms Support data hygiene efforts (list validation, bounce analysis, deliverability monitoring) Performance Tracking Monitor deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and other KPIs Analyze results and optimize based on performance metrics Compliance & Best Practices Ensure all emails comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other applicable privacy regulations Stay current with email marketing trends, technologies, and best practices Requirements Technical Skills: Proficient in HTML/CSS for email development Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (AMPscript, Journey Builder, Email Studio) and Marketo (Smart Campaigns, Lead Scoring, Tokens) — candidates with strong depth in one platform and solid working knowledge of the other are encouraged to apply Familiarity with email testing tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid) Marketing Automation: Solid understanding of segmentation, lead nurturing, and lifecycle marketing Knowledge of CRM integrations (e.g., Salesforce CRM, and how Marketo/SFMC sync with it) Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail and QA discipline Strong communication and collaboration with marketing, design, and development teams Ability to manage multiple projects across brands/platforms in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and/or Marketo Certified Expert (MCE); both are a plus Basic understanding of JavaScript or SQL Experience with A/B testing and email optimization strategies Experience supporting multi-brand, multi-platform marketing programs #J-18808-Ljbffr The Matlen Silver Group, Inc.
