Specialty Account Manager - Rare Disease-Schaumburg, IL

Amgen seeks a Specialty Account Manager for TEPEZZA in the Chicago area to drive product demand among physicians and healthcare systems, manage territory sales goals, and coordinate cross-functional teams to address customer access and reimbursement needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop territory business plans and drive achievement of annual sales targets for TEPEZZA
• Promote TEPEZZA to physicians and healthcare professionals within regulatory and ethical guidelines
• Coordinate with patient services, market access, and field teams to address account access and reimbursement issues
• Educate healthcare professionals on disease state and site of care options
• Manage territory budget and report sales activity and market feedback to leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years sales experience in pharma/biotech/medical device, or advanced degree with proportionally less experience
• Pharma account management selling experience with ability to coordinate across field teams
• Buy-and-bill or biologic/infusion experience strongly preferred
• Site of care and reimbursement experience strongly preferred
• Sales background in endocrinology, ophthalmology, or rare/specialty diseases preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills
• Willingness to travel approximately 80% including overnight and weekend commitments
