Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Clerk
Pay Rate: $22.00–$25.00/hour, DOE
M-F 8:00AM-4:30PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Clerk to support daily accounting and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable and be comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Review and process invoices, bills, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Enter invoices and payment information accurately into the accounting system.
- Prepare and process vendor payments.
- Assist with customer billing and invoicing.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts.
- Reconcile accounts and assist with resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Communicate with customers and vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions.
- Assist with monthly reconciliations and other accounting tasks.
- Provide general administrative support to the office and accounting team.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting preferred.
- QuickBooks experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with accounting or invoicing software preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in the trucking, transportation, or logistics industry is a plus.
