Job Summary: Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer (FETAL MED) Milwaukee, Wisconsin
The Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer role provides advanced ultrasound evaluation for high-risk pregnancy patients. This position requires specialized scanning skills to identify fetal abnormalities, communicate effectively with the care team, and maintain proficiency with required clinical tools and basic computer systems. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); ARDMS with specialty in OBGYN; license required; advanced knowledge of fetal abnormalities and their diagnosis; proficient in performing scans of various anatomical areas and identifying cross-sectional human anatomy, distinguishing normal from abnormal, to establish initial evaluation of sonograms; excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients, and other staff members; basic computer proficiency (e.g., email, electronic medical records).
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of sonographer experience specifically in Maternal Fetal Medicine (required to be considered).
• Additional Information: EMR includes EPIC and AS OB/GYN software; GE Voluson ultrasound machines are used. Unit support includes 3 MAs and 3 receptionists/HUCs, with 5 RNs on staff and 2 resource nurses. Orientation is typically 2 weeks or until competent with workflow. Float is not required.
