About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required License: Must have an active license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 1 year of EPIC experience required Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry specialty. This unit focuses on acute care for the elderly population. The unit has telemetry capabilities for hospitalized patients aged 65 and older. Staff will prioritize preserving both cognitive and physical function in patients. The nursing staff includes specially trained personnel in geriatric-focused care. Nurses will be expected to provide telemetry-capable care. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Agency staff may float to other units as needed. Floating will be limited to areas where staff are qualified. All requests for scheduling must be submitted for approval. The facility may call off 1 shift every two weeks. Module completion is required as part of the pre-assignment process. Staff will need experience in IV starts, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia management. This role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Candidates are encouraged to apply if they meet the minimum requirements.
