Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years in an Emergency Room setting required. License: Kentucky or compact license required. Certifications: NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS. Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting. - Required certifications. - Travel experience preferred, but not necessary. Description: Candidates must have 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting. Required certifications include NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS. A Kentucky or compact license is required. No trauma level one experience is necessary. First-time travelers with level one Emergency Room experience will be considered. Requests for time off longer than one week will not be approved unless under special circumstances. Locals within 100 miles are not accepted for this position. The staffing ratio for days is four patients per nurse. The staffing ratio for nights is four patients per nurse. The staffing ratio for weekends is four patients per nurse. Travelers must complete online courses upon onboarding. Candidates should have experience with ventilated patients and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Compliance requirements include BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS, and other related competencies. Travelers will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate if needed. Rehire eligibility will be checked before an offer is finalized. Any prior employment must be disclosed during submission. Candidates will be required to work a minimum of 4-5 weekend shifts every six weeks. Modules are required during orientation and annually, varying by specialty.
