Production Supervisor (2nd shift)

Job Details Location: 6900 Old Bridge St, Niles, IL 60714 Type: Full Time Salary: $68,000 – $75,000 Shift: Second Shift Category: Manufacturing Summary Supervisor is responsible for directing all day-to-day shift activities within his/her departments. Shift Supervisor needs to manage continuous improvement projects, R&D new product developments, CAPA (corrective action and preventive action), new hire development, associate accountability, associate performance reviews, audit documentation within batch order requirements, policies and procedures adherence, accident reports, operations efficiencies, and manage associates labor hours. The department includes multicultural non-union associates operating in a 24/7 operation. Coordinates the production of goods within their area of the plant, ensuring machines are properly repaired and running efficiently to standard while maintaining a focused, motivated workforce. Primary Responsibilities Identify associate and food safety concerns and initiate internal CAPA. Coach and mentor department leads to become supervisors. Accident and incident reporting investigation. Identify quality issues and initiate external CAPA. Create weekly staffing requirements based on the planning schedule. Communicate any updates to department leads on a daily basis. Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities. Ensure policies and procedures adherence. Maintain associate accountability. Participate in R&D new product development. Support QA efforts. Keep an accurate department inventory. Provide proper documentation and validate employee work documents. Develop new hires. Close batch orders and investigate any pending issues. Conduct shift changeover activities. Provide support to other departments to achieve GNC priorities. Own all GMPs within all areas of responsibility. Drive operating efficiencies. Qualifications and Knowledge & Skill Requirements 2‑year associate degree or 3‑5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Coach/Train associates. Active member within Safety Committee. Active role within GNC Continuous improvement. Delegate responsibilities. Detail‑oriented and results‑driven. High level of communication. Maintain associate accountability. Measure efficiency.
