Facilities Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Lakeland, FLPay: $20.00 - $24.00/hrSchedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PMNesco Resource is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician for a client in Lakeland, FL. This individual will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair throughout the facility, including the welding shop and machining shop.The ideal candidate is a mechanically inclined, dependable problem-solver who is comfortable handling a variety of maintenance tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong general maintenance background who enjoys being the person everyone calls when something needs to be repaired, maintained, or fixed.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance and repair throughout the welding and machining shops.Assist with basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.Repair and maintain facility doors, fans, flooring, and other general building equipment.Perform basic flooring repairs or replacement as needed.Conduct routine maintenance and upkeep on forklifts, including lubrication and oiling of equipment.Assist with minor forklift repairs and identify mechanical issues that may require additional service.Perform preventative maintenance to help keep equipment and the facility operating efficiently.Troubleshoot and repair general facility and shop-related maintenance issues.Inspect equipment and facility areas to identify maintenance needs or potential safety concerns.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Communicate maintenance needs, repairs, and larger equipment issues to management.Perform other general maintenance and repair duties as assigned.QualificationsPrevious experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, shop maintenance, or a similar hands-on maintenance role.Basic plumbing experience required.Experience performing general building and facility repairs.Mechanical aptitude and experience working around industrial equipment.Experience with forklift maintenance, preventative maintenance, lubrication, or minor repairs preferred.Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of general maintenance issues.Comfortable working in a welding and machining shop environment.Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment safely.Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials and equipment as needed.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
