About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Neurology)

Spokane, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Weekends required every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a focus on neurology diagnoses, including post-surgical neurology patients
• Utilize and document the NIH Stroke Scale accurately and consistently
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5
• Float between units within the facility as needed
• Document all patient care and clinical assessments using Epic
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Neurology nursing experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale and care of post-surgical neurology patients
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Must submit all requested time off and scheduling needs prior to or at the time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma, or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and a variety of neurological diagnoses
• Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated schedule flexibility
