Intake Specialist Case ManagerThe Intake Specialist Case Manager supports at-risk individuals and families by conducting screenings, coordinating referrals, and helping clients access community resources. The role includes assisting with rental applications, collaborating with housing staff, and advocating on behalf of clients with landlords to promote housing stability. Additionally, the position focuses on assessing client needs and delivering high-quality case management in partnership with the social services team.Duties and Responsibilities:Screen clients for rental and/or utility assistanceDetermine the client eligibilityProvide resources to families and individuals seeking services at the Family Services DepartmentScreen at-risk individuals and familiesProvide internal referrals to connect clients with resourcesEstablish and maintain relationships with other community agenciesAttend all required staff, department, community meetings, and trainingsProvide financial assistance for rental and deposit in coordination with the Housing CoordinatorProvide case management to individuals and familiesProvide budgetary and financial counselingProvide housing search, location, referral, landlord mediation/dispute resolution, and information regarding tenant rightsMaintain accurate, updated, confidential client filesProvide referrals to secure necessary services and support for clientsAssist with events related to the Family Services DepartmentOther related duties as requiredEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Bachelor's degree (preferred)Experience with Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) (preferred)Experience working with diverse, homeless, and low-income communitiesExperience in administrative work and data entryExperience with Microsoft programsSkills and Abilities:Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)Excellent communication skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to leadAbility to multi-taskEquipment Used:Modern Office Equipment and Relevant SoftwarePhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
