Vogt is based in Louisville, KY and specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of equipment and solutions to the power generation industry. We are an industry leader in heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) with both domestic and international customers.

Position Summary

The Cost Estimator provides timely and accurate cost estimates for proposals and assists in maintaining and improving the estimating process and tools.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Develops proposal cost estimates for company products for both Capital and Aftermarket sales.
Create "As Sold" project budget information for Projects.
Supports Sales/Supply Management to develop detailed Work Scopes to obtain quotations on proposals and projects.
Reviews actual vs. estimated costs on projects and reports back to project/proposal team.
Evaluates and improves estimating procedures and assists in the development and maintenance of the estimating programs.
Prepares price inquiries to outside vendors and incorporates it into appropriate databases.
Identifies cost reduction opportunities and participates and/or initiates cost reduction efforts.
