Key Responsibilities\n

• Establish and maintain a trusting therapeutic relationship with patients, creating a safe environment conducive to open dialogue.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's unique circumstances and needs.

• Lead counseling sessions, providing support to individuals, couples, and families, using therapeutic techniques that align with clients’ therapeutic goals.

• Collaborate with a network of specialists to refer clients for additional services, such as substance abuse treatment or psychiatric care, when necessary.

• Document all patient encounters accurately and maintain confidentiality while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

• Participate in case reviews and team meetings to discuss patient progress and share best practices with peers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals, couples, and families experiencing various mental health challenges within the diverse community of Norwalk and beyond. The clientele includes adolescents struggling with familial issues, couples seeking relationship counseling, and adults coping with anxiety and depression. Your compassionate approach will be vital in helping them achieve better mental health and interpersonal relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Connecticut is required.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
