Job Description

• Be the Main Point of Contact: You'll be the go-to person for owners, architects, and engineers to talk about what's happening on-site every day.
• Run the Schedule: You will build and manage the project timeline. This includes tracking down materials and equipment to make sure they show up on time so the job doesn't stall.
• Handle Subcontractor Issues: When subs have scheduling problems or claims about slow-downs, you'll be the one to review the situation and fix it.
• Make Daily Decisions: You're in charge of the "how" and "when." You'll make calls on deliveries, site setup, quality control, and how many workers are needed on-site.
• Spot and Report Problems: If something happens that affects the budget or timeline, you'll document it. You'll also write RFIs when the blueprints need more explanation.
• Keep the Site Moving: You'll coordinate all the different trades to make sure they aren't tripping over each other. If a conflict pops up between crews or over a design detail, you'll step in and solve it.
• Keep Paperwork Current: You'll make sure all the right permits and insurance are active and up to date for the whole project.
• Watch the Bottom Line: You'll help manage the general site costs to make sure the project stays on budget.
• Focus on Quality: You'll check the work to make sure it's done right and matches the approved plans exactly.
• Lead with Respect: Treat everyone on the team-from the owner to the trades-with respect, while helping them do their best work every day.

The Successful Applicant

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience working on construction job sites.
• Technical Skills: You need to really know your way around blueprints, contracts, and specs. You should understand the best ways to build, what materials to use, and how to handle site surveying and leveling.
• Healthcare Knowledge (A Plus): If you've worked on hospitals or medical buildings and know about ICRA (dust and infection control), that's great-but it's not a dealbreaker if you don't.
• Money & Computer Skills: You should understand how to track costs and basic project spending. You'll need to be comfortable using a computer and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• People Skills: You need to be a strong leader who can talk and write clearly to everyone on the team.
• Safety First: You must have your OSHA 30 certificate completed.
• Coaching: You should be good at helping your team grow by giving them new challenges while supporting them along the way.
• The Environment: You're okay working both inside and outside in any weather-rain, snow, heat, or cold.
• Physical Work: You can occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• License: You must have a valid driver's license and car insurance.
