CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment caring for critically ill patients who require specialized cardiac care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding health care processes and services.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the CVICU specialty is required.
• Current Ohio nursing license or compact state license is required.
• Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are mandatory.
• Traveler must commit to working at least every other holiday.
• Completion of an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with acceptable scores on both assessments is necessary.

Schedule:

This position involves rotating shifts: 7 PM - 7:30 AM and 7 AM - 7:30 PM. While we strive to accommodate preferred shifts, please note that adjustments may be made based on the operational needs of the unit.
