Pride Health is seeking multiple Senior Inventory Specialist (Glassware) for a global science and technology company known for providing analytical instruments, diagnostics, life science research tools, and laboratory services.

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Glassware Specialist to provide critical laboratory support as part of a dynamic Company lab services team. The Glass Wash team delivers a centralized service responsible for the collection, processing, inspection, and return of laboratory glassware to customer locations. All glassware is visually inspected to ensure cleanliness and usability prior to redistribution. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication abilities, with the capacity to work independently while contributing to a collaborative laboratory support environment.

Responsibilities:

•Support the development, revision, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to glassware processing and laboratory support activities.

•Mentor and train new team members on glassware processing procedures, safety requirements, and equipment operation.

•Partner with the team lead to identify and implement continuous process improvement initiatives.

•Collect, transport, and deliver laboratory glassware and plasticware in accordance with established handling and contamination control procedures.

•Follow approved procedures for the handling and transport of contaminated and non-contaminated laboratory materials.

•Operate autoclaves for decontamination and sanitization activities.

•Operate glassware washers, dry heat sterilizers, and ultrasonic baths.

•Prepare glassware, caps, and related items for sanitization using defined procedural steps.

•Inspect glassware for cleanliness, residue, and structural defects prior to release.

•Perform routine inspections and operational checks on glass wash and autoclave equipment.

•Complete monthly de-scaling and routine preventive maintenance activities.

•Maintain temperature chart recorders, equipment logs, and associated documentation using Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

•Monitor glassware inventory levels and notify the Glassware Lead of shortages or deficiencies.

•Maintain cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards within glassware processing areas.

•Adhere to all safety procedures and proactively identify and escalate safety or operational concerns.

•Complete all required training in a timely manner and maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, security, and operational requirements.

•Collaborate with other laboratory support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

•Cross-train and provide backup support for other laboratory support functions as needed.

•Demonstrate appropriate use of laboratory equipment and software following training.

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline OR

•Associate's degree in a scientific discipline with 2 or more years of relevant laboratory or operational experience OR

•High School diploma or equivalent with 5 or more years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or related operational environment

Preferred Qualifications:

•Prior experience in glass wash or laboratory support services

•Previous mentoring or training experience

•Experience developing, revising, or maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Working Environment:

•Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory.

•Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.

•Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the time

•The person needs to occasionally move between labs, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite Frequently operate on instruments, objects, tools or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching and reaching in order to perform in a service function.

•Occasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds (potential for occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds).

•Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.

•Occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

•Employee may be required to handle hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing and labeling hazardous waste.

•Potential risk to lab-based hazards including but not limited to extreme temperature, biological materials, and hazardous chemicals.

•May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment.
