Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Emergency Department Nurse – Trauma

Shift Length: 12-hour shifts

Minimum assignment: 10 weeks

Experience: 2 years required (1.5 years may be reviewed); Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred; travel experience preferred; first-time travelers considered if Level I experience is met

Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH/NIHSS; EMR: Cerner

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients in an emergency department setting, focusing on trauma, resuscitation, and critical care.
• Triage patients effectively and assist in stabilization.
• Administer medications, IVs, and other treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatments.
• Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 24 hours
• Drug screen required within 30 days of start
• RTO requests greater than 7 days need approval; no RTO first 7 days or last day of contract
• Scrubs: Black
