Operations Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations supporting our commercial fencing and perimeter security projects in Colorado.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for yard operations, inventory, material coordination, equipment, and field support. The Operations Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and fencing crews to make sure the right materials, equipment, and resources are available when and where they are needed.

The ideal candidate has experience in commercial fencing, construction operations, yard management, logistics, or a related field and knows how to lead teams, stay organized, and keep projects moving.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage yard and operations employees, maintaining accountability, productivity, and organization.
• Oversee receiving, verification, organization, and storage of fencing materials, gates, posts, fittings, hardware, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory of chain-link, temporary fencing, ornamental fencing, gates, posts, fittings, and other construction materials.
• Review upcoming project schedules and coordinate materials for upcoming and next-day fencing installations.
• Ensure crews have the correct materials, tools, equipment, and job-site supplies needed to begin work efficiently.
• Coordinate the movement of materials and equipment between the yard, job sites, and other PSG locations.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to identify and resolve material shortages, equipment issues, and operational challenges.
• Track company tools, equipment, rentals, and other operational assets.
• Monitor fleet and equipment needs and communicate maintenance or repair requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and ensure materials and equipment are properly stored and protected.
• Manage scrap materials, waste removal, recycling, and overall yard organization.
• Help improve processes related to inventory control, material staging, equipment utilization, and crew support.
• Communicate regularly with leadership regarding staffing, inventory, equipment, project needs, and operational issues.
• Support early mornings, extended hours, or occasional weekends when project schedules require it.
• Travel locally or regionally as needed to support PSG operations and projects.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in commercial fencing, construction operations, yard operations, logistics, fleet operations, industrial work, or a related field.
• 3+ years of supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Commercial fencing or construction experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with construction materials, fencing products, gates, tools, equipment, and/or fleet operations.
• Experience with inventory management, receiving, material staging, or yard operations.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to anticipate project and crew needs and address issues before they impact the schedule.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• CDL preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work outdoors in Colorado weather conditions, including cold, snow, rain, and heat.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle fencing materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
• Willingness to work extended hours, early mornings, or weekends when needed.
