Location: Lake Oswego, ORSchedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Compensation: $65,000-$78,000 annually About Our Client Our client is a well-established and highly respected construction services organization with a strong presence throughout the western United States. They are known for their commitment to quality, safety, collaboration, and customer service, and continue to experience steady growth. Position Overview Our client is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their growing payroll team. This role will be responsible for processing high-volume, multi-state payroll while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional support for employees. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and takes pride in delivering accurate payroll services. Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 1,300 employees across multiple states.
- Audit and verify payroll data, timekeeping records, and employee information for accuracy.
- Support payroll operations involving multiple collective bargaining agreements and union payroll requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll inquiries.
- Generate payroll reports and assist with payroll audits and compliance reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
- Partner with payroll leadership to meet weekly deadlines and support continuous process improvements.
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience.
- Experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience processing union payroll.
- Experience working with Dayforce or similar payroll systems.
- 5+ years of payroll or related accounting experience.
