Start Date: October 19, 2026 (additional orientation dates available: 11/02/2026, 11/16/2026, 11/30/2026)

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week guaranteed, every other weekend rotation, holiday rotation includes 2 federal holidays per year and 1 spring/2 winter non-essential holidays

Highlights:

• 28-bed post-surgical unit specializing in bariatric, urology/nephrology procedures, and general surgical care
• Patient population includes post-operative cases, infectious processes, wound care, GI diseases, and various surgical interventions
• Epic charting system with test-out option available
• Contract length: 26-51 weeks preferred; longer contracts receive priority consideration
• Staffing ratio of 1:6 with float opportunities to other post-surgical and medical surgical inpatient floors
• Magnet-designated facility committed to high reliability organization culture and nursing excellence

Requirements:

• Active Kansas or Multistate RN license (no first-time travelers; local travelers accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience required; progressive care/step-down experience is a bonus
• ADN or BSN degree
• Vaccination requirements: Immunity status for Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella (titer or proof of vaccination), TDaP, Influenza (or exemption), and TB documentation
• Compliance documentation due two Thursdays prior to start date
