Quick Facts: Location: Lafayette, LA Start Date: ASAP End Date/Duration: Ongoing Shift: Full-time, flexible (schedule details discussed upon application) Hours/week: 40+ hours Employment Type: Full-Time Locums License/Certs: State of Louisiana license preferred (or ability to obtain) Experience: Prior experience in surgical or inpatient care preferred Pay & Benefits: Pay: $1.00/hour (please discuss compensation upon application) Benefits: Competitive pay package, malpractice insurance, and professional liability coverage (benefits details discussed upon application) What You’ll Do: Provide inpatient rounding and surgical consults for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures Cover emergency room call as needed Participate in clinic 1 day per week, managing 15-20 post-op patients Assist with complex cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG, VATS, thoracotomies, lobectomies, AAA repairs, arterial bypasses, and aortic valve replacements Collaborate with a team of 2 surgeons and 3 advanced practice providers Ensure excellent patient care and safety during procedures and recovery What You Need: Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Louisiana Experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred Strong team collaboration and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment About the Assignment: Join a reputable healthcare provider in Lafayette, LA, offering specialized cardiovascular and thoracic surgical services.
