Service Advisor

Position Information Our Service Advisors have front‑line responsibility for customer interaction. Responsibilities include determining a customer’s vehicle issue, documenting and preparing repair orders, scheduling service, communicating with the customer, preparing estimates, obtaining authorization, closing repair orders, and obtaining the appropriate form of payment from the customer. This position reports to the Service Manager, is a 40‑hour a week position and is eligible for overtime. It also qualifies for a monthly bonus incentive based on individual gross profit. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Read and comprehend instructions and information. Dress professionally and communicate well orally and in writing. Two years of related experience in a dealership. General knowledge of truck mechanical operations. Sales experience preferred. Physical Demands Work throughout the service bays in an open garage area. Stand six to eight hours per shift. Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel. Will lift and transport up to 50 pounds occasionally. Exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. Road testing of vehicles may be required.
