Work Environment\n

Your work environment will primarily be remote, allowing flexibility and convenience to both you and the clients you serve. You will be part of an outpatient office structure that fosters teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals. While you have the option to choose your working hours—typically Monday to Friday with flexibility for weekends when necessary—you will also participate in regular virtual consultations with a supportive clinical supervision team.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including crisis assessments, and create personalized follow-up care plans for patients.

• Determine and coordinate the appropriate level of mental health care for patients, ensuring they receive the necessary support during and after hospitalization.

• Complete all required statistical reports and documentation accurately and promptly, contributing to improved patient care strategies.
\n
• Engage with external agencies, including the Department of Correction, to facilitate access, appropriate housing, and treatment disposition for patients with complex needs.
\n
• Collaborate with other institutional programs to coordinate patient care, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of treatment.
\n
• Lead group therapy sessions within mental health observation units, providing therapeutic support and intervention to individuals in crisis.
\n
• Participate in clinical supervision sessions at least once a week to enhance your skills and broaden your professional development.
\n
• Contribute to case conferences and treatment planning discussions to create comprehensive care strategies tailored to patient needs.

• When necessary, conduct psychological testing and provide guidance to social work interns or student volunteers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals facing various mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, and trauma-related issues. Your role will involve direct interaction with both patients and their families, focusing on the integration of socio-cultural factors affecting their mental health. Your expertise will inform treatment decisions, ensuring that all patients receive care that is not only effective but also respectful of their unique backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required. A Master's degree will be preferred.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid State license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Prior experience in mental health counseling or a related field is highly beneficial.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
