Accounting Manager

This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain existing processes. You'll help create them. Reporting to the Controller, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations while leading a small team, driving process improvements, supporting a NetSuite implementation, and partnering with leaders across operations, procurement, and finance. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close Supervise, coach, and develop two accounting team members Review AP, AR, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries Own accounting process improvements and help establish scalable procedures Serve as a key accounting resource during the NetSuite implementation and ongoing administration Partner with operations, procurement, and other departments to improve financial processes Ensure accounting accuracy while balancing business needs across departments Support audits, financial reporting, and compliance activities Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence change through collaboration rather than authority Take ownership of accounting functions while remaining hands‑on as a "player-coach" What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA preferred Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff Strong general ledger and month-end close experience NetSuite experience strongly preferred Experience with ERP implementations or major system improvements is highly desirable Public accounting experience is highly valued Comfortable working in growing, evolving organizations where priorities shift Strong communicator capable of partnering across multiple departments Hands‑on leader who enjoys coaching others while remaining involved in the work You should be comfortable wearing multiple hats, improving processes, mentoring teammates, and navigating an environment where not every process has been perfected yet.
