Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Inpatient Med Surg Mercy Hospital South – 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128 Schedule Full‑time, 36 hours per week – Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Sign‑On Bonus Up to $2,000 for part‑time and full‑time caregivers. Education & Loan Assistance $10,000 Scholar Loan Program (LPN to RN) Overview Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of an appropriately licensed provider. Maintains professional accountability for provision of care for assigned patients, coordinates patient care with other departments, ensures patient rights and confidentiality, and performs duties consistently with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care for admitted patients in an inpatient medical‑surgical unit. Administer medication and treatments as prescribed. Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for patient planning and discharge. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Assist with patient mobility, turning, and transfers. Perform other duties assigned by the supervising RN or licensed provider. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. Current LPN license in Missouri and meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. LPN‑IV certification within 30 days of hire (or within 3 months for certain units). New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome. Physical Requirements Frequent standing and walking throughout shift. Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance. Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
