Remote Medical Scheduler

Pay: $21-$22/hour

Location: 100% Remote - Open to candidates throughout the U.S.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, daytime hours (EST

Employment Type: 4-5 month contract-to-hire

Target Start Date: October 12, 2026

We are hiring Medical Schedulers to support an expanding hospital scheduling team. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates with previous healthcare scheduling, patient access, or medical office experience who are comfortable working in a busy, patient-facing environment.

The team is looking to hire quickly, and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, confirm, and verify patient appointments
• Answer inbound patient calls and assist with scheduling-related questions
• Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Accurately document information within Epic
• Communicate with patients, families, providers, and clinical teams
• Screen messages and route questions to the appropriate department or team member
• Assist with general administrative and clerical responsibilities
• Support billing and co-pay collection processes when applicable
• Maintain accurate patient records while handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a busy medical office, hospital, patient access, scheduling, or healthcare front-desk environment
• Previous hands-on Epic experience required
• Experience scheduling patient appointments
• Comfortable handling a high volume of phone and computer-based work
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Basic Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

Preferred

• Hospital or centralized scheduling experience
• Patient access, registration, or call-center experience within healthcare
• Ability to learn new workflows quickly
• Flexibility with daytime scheduling

Schedule

Candidates should ideally be available for any of the following schedules during the interview process:

• 8:00 AM-5:00 PM EST
• 8:30 AM-5:00 PM EST
• 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST

Employees will have a set schedule once assigned.

Additional Details

• 100% remote
• Candidates may reside anywhere in the United States
• Eastern Time Zone availability is preferred, but candidates in other time zones will be considered
• Equipment is provided; an IT equipment deposit of $30 per week applies for the first 10 weeks of the assignment
• Full onboarding and compliance process required
• Candidates must be able to complete required background and drug screening
