Senior Medical Director, Pulmonary Hypertension, Global Medical Affairs

Merck seeks a Senior Medical Director for Pulmonary Hypertension within Global Medical Affairs. This role drives execution of medical strategy across therapeutic areas with a focus on the U.S. market, serving as a subject-matter expert and key decision-maker in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Execute annual Value & Implementation plans with medical affairs colleagues across key regions
• Develop and translate global scientific platforms into Medical Value Narratives for stakeholders
• Engage with country-level medical advisors, payers, and scientific leaders on strategic alignment
• Serve as medical representative across Product Development sub-teams for clinical and commercial planning
• Organize and facilitate global advisory boards, expert forums, and educational symposia

Requirements

• M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D. (M.D. preferred) with recognized medical expertise
• Country or region medical affairs or clinical development experience
• Pulmonary Hypertension therapeutic area experience preferred
• Strong prioritization and decision-making skills in matrix environments
• Excellent written and oral communication with project management capabilities
• At least three years regional medical affairs leadership experience preferred
• Customer expertise with scientific leaders, payers, and medical professional organizations
