Project Manager

About the Role The Modernization Project Manager oversees coordination of activities on multiple modernization installation projects, ensuring efficient delivery, cost containment, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Ensure flawless execution of each project by completing on schedule, within budget, and meeting all technical, safety standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and customer expectations. Coordinate all contract activities from the project award stage through completion, providing progress reviews to ensure contract documents are consistent with the required scope. Proactively communicate with multiple client representatives including general contractors, owners, building managers, architects and designers, state and local authorities, and regulatory agencies concerning project design, preparations, and scheduling of installation for the equipment. Work closely with internal sales staff, superintendents, and senior leadership to ensure a successful project from both financial and customer perspectives. Manage contract writing and administration, including billing, consultant and contractor payments, processing RFIs, optimizing change order opportunities, and maximizing project cash coverage. Accurately interpret construction contractual documents and contract modifications to determine cost of changes. Analyze situations and assist in developing contingency estimates. Qualifications 3+ years of elevator industry project management and/or construction experience. Familiarity with cost estimating, scheduling, and contract administration. Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings. Team‑oriented and adaptable in dynamic settings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self‑motivated, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft software. Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Additional Information Given the nature of the position, Otis Elevator does not support sponsorship for this role. Compensation Salary range: $93,000 – $174,000, with actual compensation based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
