Nurse Operating Room Float Pool

Role: Provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment, supporting complex surgical procedures across various specialties including neuro, spine, and cardiac. Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participate in promoting patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. Develop and document individualized care plans with clear goals, ensuring effective communication across care continuum. Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers. Qualifications & Skills: RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of OR experience, with specific expertise in neuro, spine, and cardiac surgeries preferred. Ability to circulate and scrub in all OR pods. Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.
