Assistant Project Manager

Overview The Assistant Project Manager supports day‑to‑day project operations under the direction of a Project Manager. This role focuses on anticipating material needs, tracking costs, maintaining documentation, and ensuring projects move efficiently from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Support Project Managers in supervising and developing Project Engineers and support staff. Assist with client RFPs, budgets, and bid packages. Create and update project schedules with PMs and Superintendents. Track scope changes and compile subcontractor pricing for change estimates. Maintain and update project budgets for client and internal reporting. Manage cost control logs and issue client change estimates. Attend or lead weekly client meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes. Maintain RFI logs and generate clear, solution‑oriented RFIs. Maintain long‑lead logs, submittal logs, and issue material submittals for approval. Ensure field teams and subcontractors have all required documentation (plans, specs, permits, schedules, COs, RFIs, safety reports, etc.). Conduct routine site visits with PMs, Superintendents, and subcontractors. Uphold high standards of quality control across all projects. Prepare project close‑out manuals and support warranty requests. Working Conditions Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or computer‑based tasks. Occasional lifting of moderately heavy materials or equipment. Regular computer use requiring attention to ergonomics to avoid strain or fatigue. Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role on commercial construction projects. Associate degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; Bachelor’s preferred. Ability to read architectural and engineering plans and specifications. Broad trade knowledge (carpentry, MEP, finishes) to ensure design compliance. Understanding of accounting systems, budgets, financial reporting, contracts, lien processes, invoicing, and AIA documents. Strong proficiency in Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, Adobe, Bluebeam, and project management software. LEED or similar accreditation preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr raise consulting
