Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Network Connectivity Services

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering, with at least five years of practical experience.
• Demonstrated implementation or service-delivery experience in a global financial institution or regulated enterprise.
• In-depth knowledge of networking and telecommunications technologies across Layers 0–3, including dark fiber, DWDM, Ethernet, IP-VPN, DIA, broadband, cellular, and satellite connectivity.
• Experience managing delivery with telecom and managed service providers, including contract and SLA oversight.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities, with the capacity to build trust and influence across business and technical teams.
• Excellent organization and time management, including the ability to oversee concurrent implementations across multiple regions.
• Working knowledge of cloud connectivity and hybrid architectures, such as public-cloud on-ramps and private connectivity, and their effects on implementation planning and testing.
• Ability to use enterprise-authorized AI tools for infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validate their outputs, and handle operational data in line with security and sensitivity requirements.
• Ability to apply reuse-first, AI-assisted delivery and automation practices to identify recurring issues and assess remediation options, keeping changes traceable and aligned with resilience and security expectations.
• Preferred: Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence for workflow management, documentation, reporting, and closure evidence.
• Preferred: Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator.
• Preferred: Data analysis skills, including interrogating, modeling, and visualizing delivery data to identify trends, cost drivers, and risks.
• Preferred: Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Preferred: Experience using AI and automation to streamline service-delivery workflows.

• Coordinate carrier milestones after order placement, monitor progress, identify risks, and drive mitigations to support predictable delivery.
• Arrange installation and cutover activities, including site and provider schedules, internal handoffs, maintenance windows, and readiness checks.
• Plan and conduct testing against agreed acceptance criteria; maintain test evidence and resolve implementation exceptions or document their acceptance.
• Complete operational handovers with closure evidence and required metadata, ensuring documentation supports readiness and auditability.
• Carry out decommissioning and disconnection activities when required, following governance processes and recording closure evidence.
• Work with Demand Managers on customer-facing updates, sharing accurate milestones, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate telecom providers, vendors, and internal engineering teams from design through acceptance testing and operational handover, managing performance against SLAs.
• Manage change-control and cost-governance inputs and maintain accurate implementation documentation.
• Use authorized AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, checking results and safeguarding operational data.
• Apply reusable, AI-assisted approaches in delivery and automation to surface recurring issues and assess remediation options, ensuring changes are auditable and meet resilience and security expectations.
