Lead IT Support Specialist

Location: Dublin, OH (Hybrid)

Schedule: 3 days onsite per week, with potential for additional onsite days in the future

Travel: Minimal local travel as needed

Overview

A growing insurance company is seeking an experienced Lead IT Support Specialist to join its IT team. This role is focused on providing end-user and technical support across the organization while helping maintain and improve the overall IT environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience supporting Microsoft-based environments.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of IT support experience
• College degree preferred
• CompTIA and/or Microsoft certifications are a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting end users in a corporate environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Windows operating systems, hardware, software, and business applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, and connectivity
• Document, track, and manage support requests through a ticketing system
• Offer remote support and prioritize help desk tickets effectively
• Perform user administration tasks including onboarding, offboarding, account setup, and access management
• Support Microsoft 365 environments, including Teams and file-sharing solutions
• Assist with networking and infrastructure support, including drive mapping, file sharing, wireless connectivity, cabling, and basic network troubleshooting
• Monitor and support security initiatives including password management, antivirus protection, and security controls
• Participate in IT projects, implementations, and documentation efforts
• Manage equipment deployment and shipments for remote users
• Escalate complex issues as needed and collaborate with other IT team members to improve processes and user experience
• Maintain detailed documentation of issue resolution and support activities

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional looking to take on a lead-level support role within a stable and growing insurance organization.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dublin, OH.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
