Key Responsibilities

• Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests including complete blood counts (CBCs), electrocardiograms (EKGs), and radiographs (X-rays) to aid in the assessment of patient conditions.
• Analyze detailed patient histories and physical examination findings to accurately assess and diagnose health issues.
• Develop tailored treatment plans grounded in scientific rationale, best practices, and relevant professional guidelines.
• Diagnose and manage acute healthcare problems such as illnesses, infections, and injuries in a timely manner.
• Prescribe medications judiciously, considering parameters of efficacy, safety, and cost, while adhering to legal regulations.
• Implement lifestyle modifications and recommend behavioral interventions to patients to mitigate health risks.
• Educate patients on self-management strategies for chronic illnesses, customizing guidance for individual needs.
• Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) efficiently to maintain accurate and comprehensive patient documentation following organizational policies.
• Ensure the development of a rapport with patients that fosters trust and facilitates open communication regarding their health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Nurse Practitioner at Positive Pals Healthcare Services, you will provide care to a diverse patient demographic, primarily consisting of school-aged children and adolescents. Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
