Sr. Medical Assistant

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Department: Neurosurgery/Pain Management

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and experienced Sr. Medical Assistant to support a leading healthcare organization in Houston, TX. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Medical Assistant who is comfortable working in both neurosurgery and pain management clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Split time between the Neurosurgery Office Visit Clinic and Pain Management Procedure Clinic .
• Prepare patients for appointments and procedures, including rooming and obtaining vital signs.
• Accurately enter and manage patient orders.
• Perform barcode scanning for procedures and ensure information is properly documented.
• Respond to and manage patient messages in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist providers with clinical and administrative duties as needed.
• Prepare exam and procedure rooms and ensure supplies are available.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow established clinical procedures.
• Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout the visit.
• Follow all applicable healthcare policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Perform other Medical Assistant duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
• Experience in neurosurgery, pain management, or a specialty clinic preferred.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document patient information.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
